Intro to Art Education

10 Things Visual Response: The front side of the flag is my response to my discussion with my friend. She was one of my former professors, and is now my friend. She agreed with everything in the "10 things I am" section, and questioned a lot in the "10 things I might be" section. My visual response is focused around what she said about "10 things I'm not". She didn't quite agree or disagree to "unpredictable", but she doesn't feel I am predictable either. She said that I am o

Love Letter Dear Charcoal (and charcoal variants), You are what makes me feel like my true self. You are a manifestation of my soul. You are fluid, yet rigid, according to how much pressure someone puts on you. Charcoal, you are my two-dimensional clay. Last Friday, 10/2, we visited Eagle View elementary school in Fairfax, VA. I got the chance to observe about 20 minutes of a kindergarten class with Sandy, and about 5-10 minutes of a special ed. group. Kalour PADS Brand Quality & Cost For the first brand of chalk pastels, I chose the Kalour PADS pastels that were available

I am tired of the art that is made being pointless, driven by nothing expect for a cute Christmas tree or an ugly hand turkey to be put

It is made up of a front and back cover, and a a spine with an accordian fold that gives you the opportunity to flip through the book, or completely fold it out to fully see the movement of the book and big picture view of the content. Getting Started Materials For creating the Flag Book, you will need: 2, 8.5" x 11" Constru

What is a Crazy Book? Crazy books are a mini accordion book with front and back hardcovers, and are secured by ribbon. The book can also fold out to become a full sheet of paper. Since there is no bound book spine, Crazy Books are a great way to keep your hands busy and introduce yourself to book-making. This week in class, we created these crazy books together as a way to build relationships among peers, observe ways to give instruction, and become in sync with each other. C
